“On 9/11, I stood just blocks away from the towers as they fell. That moment changed everything—and it’s why I’ve spent my life serving this country and this community.”
Major Jason Knight has a long and dedicated record of selfless public service. From serving in combat in the U.S. Army to serving his community as an elected official, Jason has always put the needs of others first.
Jason grew up in New York City in a hard-working blue-collar family. Like many Americans, the September 11th, 2001 attacks forever changed Jason's life. On 9/11, Jason was a half mile away from Ground Zero when the first tower fell and a mile away when the second tower fell.
Deeply impacted by having witnessed the attacks firsthand, Jason turned his life to serving our country and enlisted in the U.S. Army. Jason served 9 years on active duty with the 101st Airborne Division, based at Fort Campbell. Jason served in various capacities, including two company commands and three combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He continues to serve in the U.S. Army Reserve as a Major; he has now served over 20 years in the Army between active and reserve duty.
After leaving active duty, Jason and his family made Montgomery County their home. In addition to his role in the Army Reserve, Jason continued to serve his community through his involvement in several nonprofit organizations. Concerned with issues facing Montgomery County, Jason decided to run for public office. He served on the Clarksville City Council and currently serves on the Montgomery County Commission.
On the County Commission, Jason has been an effective conservative leader. He has led the fight to improve school safety. He has advocated for increasing the number of SROs and implementing physical safety measures. He has also fought to keep property taxes low, never voting for a tax increase. He led the fight to defend our constitutional rights. He has led efforts to protect law-abiding citizens’ 2nd Amendment rights and took a fight for the 1st Amendment and free speech all the way up to the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. He has also worked with state and local leaders to improve special education in Tennessee, an issue he is very passionate about as the father of special needs children.
Jason holds a master’s degree in Information Systems Management from Grantham University, a Bachelor of Professional Studies from Austin Peay State University, and is working toward a Ph.D. from Northcentral University. Jason is married to Maribeth Knight and is the proud father of seven children.
Jason Knight doesn’t just talk about service, he’s lived it. From soldier to County Commissioner, he’s stood where everyday Americans stand and fought for what matters most: liberty, accountability, and community. Now, he’s bringing that same commitment to Washington — not for recognition, but because it’s right.

Commitment to Constitutional Values
Jason's mission is simple: defend liberty, restore accountability, and empower local communities. We believe in a government that serves, not controls, and a future built by citizens, not career politicians.
Freedom isn’t negotiable. Jason’s top priority is preserving your rights, from speech and self-defense to the freedom to raise your family and run your business without interference.
Jason champions term limits, transparent budgets, and an end to insider politics. Elected officials should answer to their communities, not the political elite.
Change doesn’t come from the top down, it starts at the dinner table, the town square, the church pew. Jason believes real solutions come from those closest to the challenge.
